Event Notes

Adding a note to your Events is a little quirky, so you have a couple of choices for how to get to the Note Editor. From the Main Window, you can click the button just below the text box for Location:

You can also go to the Tools menu, and click Add Note:

Of course, the keyboard shortcut ⌘-N also functions to open the Note Editor:

This is not a fancy word processor, but it has all the typical editing options available in the Edit menu, like copy, paste, undo, spell check, etc. And don't let the small size fool you; you can enter as much information as you please.

Once quirk you need to understand is that OddCal can either preserve or delete the Note data, based on what you define in the Preferences. Another quirk is the button on the Main Window; the location of the button never changes, but the button label does. If there IS data set up for an Event Note, the button reads Edit Event Note, as the example image above displays. If there is NO data set up for an Event Note, the button reads Create Event Note:
